Well, that’s a bombshell. At least for everybody that knows me. In the last 9 months I talked a lot about buying an apartment in Vienna, one that should have been the last one I’ll ever buy. So what happened, that made me decide to go to Silicon Valley?
I first saw Steli speak at a student conference, the Entrepreneurship Avenue, in Vienna. I didn’t know who he was then, but he has a way to speak, that makes you super excited about anything that might be already somewhere in your mind.
In the following week, I listened to a few of his talks—he is a regular speaker at Pioneers Festival in Vienna—and I got hooked. As it happened I had a long drive coming up on Saturday of the same week, and decided to get episodes from The Startup Chat on my phone to entertain me. I ended up to listen to 20 on them on this day alone. That’s where it happened: I decided to go to the States. At least for a few years.
Now, a week later, I am still determined to do it. I thought about moving to the States every day and I’m certain that this has to happen!
I don’t exactly know when, somewhere in 2018, and I don’t know all the details yet, but I’m going to figure them out one-by-one, until I’m ready to move.
This blog will document my journey and might help you do a similar thing.
My first action is to figure out how to get a visa. I own a US C-corporation already, which I actually want to grow, so this is the angle I’m working on. I’ll keep you posted!
Until then, go and crush it!
